We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Director to join our team at AKQA. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative visual concepts that drive business results.
Key Responsibilities- Visual Leadership: Take ownership of creative, artistic, and cultural trends, and apply them in a manner relevant to the brief, the brand, and its users.
- Idea Generation: Collaborate with Copywriters to develop and execute creative ideas that meet client briefs and exceed expectations.
- Art Direction: Direct all aspects of art on a brand, taking into account the brand and its users, and exploiting opportunities for high creative output.
- Project Management: Develop and execute ideas across communication channels, formats, and multiple touch points, ensuring visual consistency, quality, freshness, and alignment.
- Collaboration: Work jointly with Copywriters to ensure correct briefing of production companies, directors, and other partners to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Quality Control: Direct and supervise suppliers and internal studio on all print and production work, and take responsibility with Copywriters for the quality of finished work across mediums.
- Client Relationships: Participate and collaborate with Account teams on new business pitches and strengthen client relationships by attending client meetings as required, with a view to increase sales and brand building.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership and inspire professional development within the team.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- A portfolio of creative work that showcases outstanding campaigns and projects of varying nature.
- Abreast with the latest advertising and creative trends, techniques, and new developments.
- Commercial skills to understand client business and industry contexts.
- Strong presentation and objection handling skills.
