Lead and Own a Modern Insurance Brokerage

This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a dynamic scale-up organisation.

The successful candidate will have the chance to shape strategy, secure and maintain Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), act as Responsible Manager and drive business growth through revenue expansion.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement a clear vision for the business, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
  • Inherit a significant book of general insurance/life insurance business
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including claims processing and tendering processes
  • Build and lead an inaugural team to manage key areas of the business
  • Deliver strong financial performance and meet/exceed P&L targets

You will have direct access to experienced mentors who can provide guidance and support in this exciting new chapter.

About You
  • 10+ years' senior leadership experience in insurance (brokerage or carrier) with a proven track record of revenue growth, team leadership and regulatory compliance
  • Eligibility to be approved by ASIC as the Responsible Manager
  • Deep knowledge of Australian broking regulation and a clear understanding of the broker's duty to represent clients' interests
  • Experience in start-up, scale-up or new market entry environments, with the ability to build something from the ground up
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills; commercial acumen with advanced financial modelling and P&L management
  • Extensive network across the financial services ecosystem and comfort representing the firm publicly
  • Tech savvy mindset, with an appreciation of insurtech/ fintech platforms and data-driven distribution
