We are currently seeking an experienced Quarry Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Neerim North Quarry, VIC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our quarry.
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and the Mine Safety Management Plan to maintain a safe working environment.
- Meet and achieve production targets, optimizing quarry operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures in accordance with client requirements and the site-specific Quarry Management Plan.
- Develop and implement environmental management strategies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and the site-specific Environmental Management Plan.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, driving process enhancements and cost savings.
- Coordinate truck drivers, product deliveries, and associated tasks to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and implement quarry development and production plans to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ability to carry out work as instructed by the Quarry Manager.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Current driver's license, preferably HR or HC.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement strategies.
- Knowledge and experience with fixed and mobile crushing plants.
- Knowledge and experience with earthmoving and quarry machinery.
- Ability to manage production costs versus budget.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with various plant equipment, including front-end loaders and excavators.
- Ability to work as an enthusiastic team member.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
