Cart Collector

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cart/Trolley Collection Specialist at Costco Wholesale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packing member orders into boxes and transferring them to a separate cart or flatbed after scanning or keying.
• Running for items as needed and maintaining proper safety procedures and standards.
• Providing courteous member service at all times while monitoring a smooth flow of members through the registers.
• Collecting carts and maintaining the cleanliness of the carpark.

Essential Functions:

• Greeting members, helping them load merchandise on the conveyor belt, and asking about packing preferences.
• Transferring items not on the belt to a separate cart or flatbed as the cashier scans them, placing barcodes up for the cashier when possible.
• Packing member orders into boxes and loading them on a separate cart or flatbed.
• Checking packaging for tampering and reporting it.
• Assisting members with loading orders into their cars when appropriate.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Retrieving items such as boxes, register supplies, and merchandise requested by members to keep lines moving smoothly.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the register and general Front End area.
• Reporting and cleaning spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Retrieving carts and flatbeds from the parking area using a rope with a clasping hook.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery such as carts, flatbeds, and pallet jacks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
