Geotechnical Rope Access Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Rope Access Specialist to work in the geotechnical arm of our mining division. This is a full-time contract with living and working arrangements in the Goldfields region.

As a successful applicant, you will be required to hold relevant IRATA Certification and receive a site rate based on your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rope access maneuvers.
  • Adjust, inspect, maintain, use, care for and store all rope access equipment necessary to perform the rope access work.
  • Inspect and verify the integrity of anchor systems and components.
  • Complete and maintain site records.
  • Perform standard rescue procedures for the specific work environment.
  • Install cable bolts, ground support mesh and accessories.
  • Implement testing where required.
  • Understand and implement fall protection.
  • Rope access equipment fitting and pre-use checks.
  • Attend safety meetings and awareness sessions.
  • Conduct safety evaluations of rope access operations.
  • Manage access and maintain exclusion zones at the work site.
  • Report unsafe hazards or risks to Site Supervisor and Site Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Geotechnical rope access experience.
  • First Aid & CPR Qualification.
  • Relevant current IRATA Accreditation.
  • Computer software skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
