To be eligible for this traineeship, you must not hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school within the last 7 years.

Candidates who have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare will still be considered.

In addition, you must have:

  • A genuine willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
  • A valid right to work in Australia
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • The capacity to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for early years education
  • Flexibility in your availability
  • An interest in the early years sector
  • A Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps and Rubella and Whooping Cough (Pertussis)(or be willing to receive)
