About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at the West Coast District Hospital. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist registered and enrolled nurses with patient care priorities, including collecting and reporting patient data and reinforcing the nursing care plan.
  • Deliver specific aspects of nursing care within the defined scope of practice for Nursing Assistants.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective patient care, adhering to organisational policies and Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • Participate in relevant educational activities to maintain high standards of care and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care); or
  • Certificate in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation); or
  • Currently an undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing student who has completed their first year clinical practice placement; or
  • A current Diploma of Nursing student who has completed their first clinical practice placement.
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (NDIS endorsed).
