About the Western Range Project

Civmec has secured a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The project involves the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit, and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system.

About the Role

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Placement of concrete in various applications, including blinding, footings, slabs, columns, bases, and walls
  • Installation of levels and falls, and screeding to precise levels
  • Spreading and levelling of concrete using rakes, shovels, hand, and machine trowels
  • Chipping, scraping, and grinding of high spots, ridges, and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, and hand tools
  • Curing of concrete and monitoring the effects of weather during the curing process
  • Industrial experience in construction
  • Experience with pressure washers for green cutting
  • Finishing experience and attention to detail in finishing concrete elements
  • Assistance with the installation of precast elements
  • Nationally Recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
