The Movement Institute is seeking a highly skilled physiotherapist to join our team. As a specialist in athletic performance and rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from individual athletes to teams, and collaborate with our performance team to develop and deliver innovative rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatments for musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy clients, providing guidance and support to athletes throughout their rehabilitation process.
- Rehabilitation Services: Oversee the development and delivery of specialist rehabilitation services, including monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting long-term plans for injured athletes.
- Education and Communication: Educate clients on performance goals, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and self-management strategies, and communicate progress to the Heads of Rehabilitation & Performance in a timely manner.
- Screening and Testing: Manage the musculoskeletal screening and testing of rehab athletes, utilizing VALD equipment and up-skilling as required.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise and meet regularly with the performance team for optimal medical management, and ensure effective communication with partnered local sporting clubs throughout their competition seasons.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date notes on our practice and athlete management system.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary and postgraduate qualifications in Physiotherapy, including AHPRA and APA Registration details.
- Skills and Experience: Demonstrable specialist skills in injury diagnosis and rehabilitation, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and within a multidisciplinary high-performance team environment.
- Personal Qualities: A proactive, flexible performance-orientated approach, an understanding of and ability to maintain appropriate medical confidentiality, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
