">Swan Christian Education Association is seeking a passionate and relational Health and Physical Education Teacher (Secondary) to join its dynamic teaching team in Western Australia.
]About the Role:
">This full-time teaching position offers a purpose-filled opportunity to shape a flourishing learning community where physical wellbeing, resilience and Christian character development are nurtured through every lesson.
]">As a Health and Physical Education Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages participation and achievement.
]">You will actively contribute to school sport, including carnivals, co-curricular activities, and interschool/community sporting events.
]">Assessing and reporting on student progress in accordance with College and curriculum guidelines is an essential part of this role.
]">Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the broader community to support holistic student growth is another key responsibility.
]">Modeling and promoting values of teamwork, discipline, and respect is crucial in this role.
]">Supporting the broader wellbeing of students as part of a Christ-centred educational team is also a key aspect of this position.
]">Selection Criteria:
">Essential criteria include a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church, clear alignment with SCEA's Statement of Faith and Foundational Beliefs, and registration (or eligibility) with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
]">Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Physical Education, a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in HPE, capacity to integrate ICT effectively into teaching and learning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth, and a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one are also required.
]">Desirable criteria include experience in coaching and coordinating school sports teams and current First Aid qualifications.
