We are seeking a highly skilled Boilermaker/Welder to join our team.

This is a full-time position involving the operation, maintenance, or repair of tunnelling/mining equipment, fixed assets, and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance services to various engineering industries.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Examine and provide safe, quality, effective, and efficient fabrication services to customers.">
  • Utilize tools to measure, calculate, modify, cut, or shape materials to fit technical briefs.">
  • Execute precise blueprints, drawings, and specifications while prioritizing safety.">
  • Provide repair and fabrication maintenance support on underground and open-cut mobile equipment and fixed plant.">
  • Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care.">
  • Select, clean, and prepare metal stock.">
  • Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.">
  • Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools and heating/hammering techniques.">
  • Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.">
  • Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.">
  • Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding.">

Essential Criteria:

  • ">
  • A proven commitment to safe work practices relevant to the mining industry and zero-harm policy.">
  • Fabrication trade qualifications with extensive experience in heavy industrial or mining environments (ideally 3 years post-trade).">
  • Effective communication skills within and between work teams, demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships.">
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and perform marking, cutting out using oxy and plasma cutter, grinding, and gouging.">
  • Previous experience welding in all positions using flux-cored wire, MIG, and Stick experience.">
  • High Risk WorkCover tickets required for role including Forklift, Work Platform, and Working at Heights.">
  • Current valid NSW Driver's Licence.">

  • High Risk WorkCover tickets such as C6 Crane (60T), Dogging, and Basic Rigging.">
  • MDG25 Guideline for safe cutting and welding at mines.">
  • Relevant Welding Certifications to AS1796.">
