Telehealth Mental Health Practitioner


Clinical mental health professionals play a vital role in the lives of individuals, families and communities. As a telehealth mental health practitioner with our organization, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing high-quality mental health services remotely.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy and compassion for clients from diverse backgrounds. You will work collaboratively with our internal team to provide comprehensive mental health support to our clients, addressing various clinical cases including depression, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addiction.


To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. A Master or Postgraduate Diploma training in Counselling or Clinical Psychology;
  2. Skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or other evidence-based approaches;
  3. At least 300 hours of clinical experience post-master degree;
  4. Ability to communicate fluently in English and local language;
  5. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is highly desirable;
  6. Prior experience in Employee Assistance Programs, adult counselling or coaching is also advantageous;
  7. Flexibility to work onsite if required.


This is a freelance remote opportunity with flexible business hours. Local candidates are preferred but others can still be considered. This role offers a great chance to supplement your current job or private practice while contributing to greater mental health access in the community.

This is an Associate-level position requiring a strong foundation in mental health principles and practices. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality services.
