Role Overview:

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling elderly clients to maintain their independence within the community by delivering high-quality care services.

  • Engage in one-on-one interactions with a diverse clientele.
  • Address the individual needs of each client through a variety of services, including personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation to appointments, community involvement, and respite care.
  • Assist clients safely and respectfully with tasks as outlined in their Care Plans.
  • Facilitate transportation and community access as necessary.
  • Document services rendered and any pertinent information as required by program guidelines.
  • Report and document any changes in client status or health concerns to the Service Coordinators or Care Manager.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members by attending all relevant meetings and training sessions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Exhibit a flexible, caring, and patient demeanor while maintaining professionalism.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting clients in their homes.
  • Possess knowledge of the aging process and home care services.
  • Ability to work independently while promptly reporting any concerns to Service Coordinators and Care Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent/higher qualification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Valid Victorian driver's license, along with an insured and roadworthy vehicle.
  • Access to a smartphone and computer/device.
