Job Description:

You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, contributing new ideas to the menu, ensuring efficient stock rotation, maintaining clean workspaces, and monitoring portion and quality control.

Your Key Priorities:

  1. To oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.
  2. To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef where required.
  3. To maintain proper portion and stock control to keep food costs down.
  4. To create tasting menus notes to provide to floor staff when changing the menu.
  5. To maintain clean and orderly workspaces.
  6. To ensure hygiene and food safety at the highest level in accordance with food safety guidelines and Club policies and procedures.
  7. To drive and support Work, Health, and Safety Compliance activities.
  8. To direct and support junior kitchen team members.
  9. To communicate effectively with all key stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have experience working under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen.
  • Understanding of strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience in food quality control.
  • HACCP accreditation.
  • A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Chef Trade qualifications.
  • Multifunctional chef with an interest in expanding their cooking career.
  • Able to work a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Passionate about producing great-tasting, visually appealing food.

Salary Estimate:$60,000 - $80,000 per annum depending on experience.
