Aboriginal Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to provide culturally sensitive support services to indigenous Australians with mental illness, who are experiencing homelessness.
The successful candidate will work within a recovery framework to assist in meeting the individual needs of people with a mental illness who may have a co-occurring substance abuse problem and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Deliver culturally sensitive support services within a multidisciplinary mental health setting.
- Contribute to the understanding of individual cases by facilitating culturally appropriate assessments and assisting with interpretation of information from a cultural perspective.
- Provide support to consumers and families during the delivery of mental health services.
