Job Overview:

As a Senior Health Services Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the health and wellbeing of employees across Australia. You will be responsible for providing clinical care services, case management, health assessment program management, and general preventive health services to meet regulatory and company compliance.

Your expertise in occupational health or corporate health management will be instrumental in developing and implementing health programs that promote employee wellness and safety. You will work closely with site focal points to ensure EAP services are provided to meet employee and company needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing assessments and interventions for immediate medical care;
  • Evaluate employees with work-related injuries and illnesses and/or personal medical conditions for their fitness for duty;
  • Provide medical emergency response services collaborating with site emergency services and security;
  • Maintain confidential, up-to-date medical records in compliance with medical legal requirements;
  • Implement pandemic preparedness and infection control plans as needed;
  • Conduct periodic self-assessments based on operational discipline management system (ODMS) requirements;
  • Provide Medical Case Management services for work-related cases and identified personal cases;
  • First Aid/Medical Emergency Response: Provide professional support to Site leadership to ensure there is an appropriate provision of first aid expertise and materials to meet on-site hazards and statutory requirements;
  • Be responsible for Health Assessment Program development, implementation, and evaluation;
  • Deliver/coordinate health engagement/wellbeing programs and disease prevention interventions;
  • Work with site focal to ensure EAP services are provided to meet employee and company needs;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of working experience in medical science related sectors;
  • Working experience in occupational health or corporate health management required;
  • Active Occupational Health Nurse license;
  • Good communication skills, able to make clear and prompt communication to all relevant parties;
