The role of Lead Technical Writer is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to drive and lead a team of Technical Writers / Authors in delivering innovative technical publication solutions.

As a key member of the Maritime Technical Publications team, you will be responsible for driving and leading a team of Technical Writers / Authors to deliver technical writing solutions in accordance with project procedures and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Technical Publications Authors to deliver technical writing solutions
  • Participate in designing the architecture required to support the development and delivery of technical publications
  • Participate in activities to define and implement Support Engineering objectives
  • Work closely with external / internal stakeholders and peers within the project to understand their requirements and collaborate on providing a cohesive solution
  • Establish effective consultation and communication mechanisms to engage key stakeholders and ensure awareness of ILS's strategy, plans, products, and service offerings
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Diploma or formal qualification in Technical Writing or equivalent experience
  • A background in leading teams of technical authors / writers
  • Demonstrated experience in producing Maritime Technical Publications
  • Effective communication skills at various levels of stakeholders to discuss and present business requirements
  • Understanding of S1000D is highly desirable
