Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable delivery professional to join our team. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of customer orders from stores to their homes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport and deliver goods to customers' homes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers and resolving any delivery issues.
  • Maintain vehicles in good working order and report any issues to the management team.
  • Plan and follow routes to ensure timely deliveries using navigation tools consistently.
  • Accurately load and unload goods, verify delivery contents against orders, and handle items with care to prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while on duty.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a Full Australian Driver's License.
  • Local Residency: Must be a resident of the Illawarra region.
  • Clean Criminal Record: Must have a clear criminal background check.
  • Clean Driving Record: Demonstrated history of safe driving with no consistent driving offences.
  • Experience: Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple deliveries, and solve problems efficiently.
  • Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting and carrying packages of varying sizes and weights.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with navigation systems and basic technology used in delivery operations.
