Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People team, focusing on enhancing the recruitment of First Nations employees. This role is an integral part of Bupa's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that will ideally be based in Sydney, but we are open to applicants who are outside this area (with some travel required). As a key member of our People team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment strategy aimed at attracting First Nations talent across all levels.

You will work closely with leadership to understand workforce needs and align recruitment practices with business objectives. Your key accountabilities will include designing and leading initiatives that support the hiring and retention of First Nations employees, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Employee Branding teams to develop sourcing strategies for First Nations candidates, and building relationships with external employment partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract First Nations talent.
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand workforce needs and align recruitment practices with business objectives.
  • Design and lead initiatives to support the hiring and retention of First Nations employees.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Employee Branding teams to develop sourcing strategies for First Nations candidates.
  • Build relationships with external employment partners.
  • Lead and manage a small team.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Hiring Managers and candidates for any employment and cultural queries.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of the end-to-end talent acquisition process.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills.
  • An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong cultural competencies, experienced in advising and creating First Nations cultural protocols.
  • A strategic thinker with commercial focus and demonstrated influencing skills.
  • People leadership experience is preferred.
