We are seeking a passionate secondary mathematics teacher to work in a part-time capacity across years 7-10.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching Programs: Plan and implement teaching programs or courses of study, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Child Safety: Create a safe environment for students, adhering to child-safe standards and protocols.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Teach specific areas of the curriculum or general curriculum to a girls' secondary year level.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate student progress in key learning areas, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Strategies Implementation: Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes, fostering a growth mindset.
  • Attendance and Progress: Keep records of class attendance and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Student Management: Implement effective student management consistent with the school's strategic plan, promoting positive relationships.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Staff Meetings and Yard Duties: Attend staff meetings, yard duties, covers, detention roster, and parent-teacher interviews as required.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise student activities, including support and welfare programs, ensuring student safety and well-being.
  • Co-Curricular Contributions: Contribute to co-curricular programs, promoting student engagement and development.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, maintaining a positive and safe environment.
  • Role Modeling: Act as a positive role model for children and young people, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and values.
  • Reporting Incidents: Report any suspicions, concerns, allegations, or disclosures of alleged abuse to management, upholding child protection protocols.
  • Registration and Documentation: Maintain valid working with children documentation and VIT registration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
