HammondCare At Home is a leading provider of home care services, and we are seeking several permanent part-time Caregiver Assistants to support our clients across Melbourne East.

About the Role

In this role, you will provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes. You will travel to clients' homes using your own car for which you'll be paid $0.99 cents per km plus paid travel time.

  • You will assist with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, light house cleaning, transportation to appointments, and assisting with shopping.
  • You will also assist with medication management and maintain accurate records of client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to clients, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and progress.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:

  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (min. Third Party Property Insurance).
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or willing to obtain).|p>An estimated salary for this position is between $29.56 to $32.45 per hour, based on location and experience. Benefits include full training, mobile phone provided, secure employment on a 14-day roster, salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free, and more.
