About the Role

Hillgrove Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at the Kanmantoo Copper Mine. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the mining aspects of the underground development and identifying opportunities for value accretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mining aspects of the Kanmantoo underground development
  • Identify and evaluate value accretive growth opportunities
  • Champion Life on Mine planning at Kanmantoo
  • Prepare and implement achievable long- and medium-term budgets for underground operations, waste/tailings landform, and rehabilitation activities
  • Act as a Competent Person (JORC 2012) for reserve estimation
  • Involve in green-fields opportunities and report to internal management teams

Requirements

  • Graduate qualification in Mining Engineering or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Hands-on underground mine experience and knowledge in drill and blast
  • Practical knowledge of the Mining Act (SA) 1971, Mining Regulations 2021, Work Health and Safety Act (SA) 2012, and Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011
  • Leadership skills and proven experience in leading teams
