Elite Tennis Coach

Role Overview

The National Tennis Coach is a high-performance, athlete-facing position responsible for the long-term development and performance of assigned athletes. This role focuses on individualised development planning and coaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a world-class training environment, personalising technical and tactical development for assigned athletes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure holistic growth.
  • Travel nationally and internationally with athletes (20–30 weeks annually).
  • Embed and uphold national coaching standards and philosophy.
  • Contribute to national coach education and workshops.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success coaching elite tennis athletes at national/international level.
  • High Performance Coach qualification (or willingness to attain).
  • Previous international playing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement holistic athlete development plans.
  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain).
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work.
