**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Principal Lawyer to join our Competition and Consumer Law Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, managing investigations and court proceedings, and providing expert advice on competition and consumer law matters.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, and to make a meaningful impact on the lives of consumers across Australia.

  • Conducting legal research into complex matters relevant to ACCC responsibilities under relevant legislation.
  • Assisting with the conduct of investigations and managing Court and Tribunal proceedings involving the ACCC.
  • Providing legal input for ACCC determinations, publications and information programs.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships at all levels within the ACCC to assist the Legal Group to provide responsive client service.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in competition or consumer law enforcement, with significant experience at a senior practitioner level. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
