Seeking a seasoned risk expert to drive strategic initiatives and manage risk in life insurance.

Risk Management Leadership Opportunity

We are looking for a highly experienced individual with strong commercial acumen to join our Australia Risk Leadership team. As a trusted adviser, you will provide independent challenge on key initiatives and transactions, driving risk awareness and embedding clear risk–reward trade offs in decision making.

You will be responsible for presenting risk reporting and opinions to senior committees and the Board, owning risk appetite monitoring, participating in key governance forums, and managing relationships with regulators and Group functions.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in risk management across financial services, including life insurance
  • Deep expertise across all risk types, with hands-on application of controls and remediation
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian insurance market, its regulatory landscape, and life insurance risk characteristics
  • Solid understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and risk governance best practice
