About the Role:
As the Waste Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the Waste Operations unit, ensuring that services such as road and pavement sweeping, waste response, and graffiti removal are delivered to a high standard. You will lead by example, motivating your team to embody the organisation's core values and maintain high levels of service delivery, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and management to engage and motivate employees, ensuring alignment with organisational values.
- Developing leadership skills within the unit, maximising the contribution of supervisors, team leaders, and employees.
- Promoting a safety-centric culture, ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Regularly monitoring and updating performance and development plans for all staff.
- Coordinating and overseeing the delivery of key waste operations services, including road sweeping, shop cleaning, drainage maintenance, and more.
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service and addressing any issues related to service delivery.
- Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with safety, policy, and regulatory standards.
About You:
The successful candidate will have previous experience leading an operations team in a waste or council environment. To excel in this role, you'll need strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
