We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Services Practitioner to join our team at Anglicare Victoria. As a key member of our Rapid Response program, you will work intensively with families at the point of crisis, providing short-term and intensive support to address immediate needs and promote long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety-focused plans with child protection and the family, providing in-home support to address crisis and immediate needs.
- Utilize a strengths-based approach, incorporating coaching and role modeling to build on parental strengths, skills, knowledge, and resources.
- Work collaboratively with families to identify and address protective concerns, promoting increased levels of safety within the home.
- Engage quickly and assess risk, providing timely and effective support to families in crisis.
- Previous experience in a therapeutic environment, ideally utilizing recognized therapy practices such as CBT.
- Knowledge and experience working with families with complex needs, mental health, AOD, and family violence.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships and rapport with families using innovative approaches.
- Willingness to work outside of normal hours to see families together and at home.
- A competitive salary starting at $102,554.40 plus super.
- Salary packaging available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
- SCHCADS award level 6.
- A fixed-term position covering a period up until 31st July 2024.
