About the Role

The Central Coast Council is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Water and Sewer business with financial management, policies, and procedures related to pricing submissions and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partner and various internal stakeholders to provide clean visibility of financial performance.
  • Provide advice and assistance in ensuring the business meets the requirements of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) Regulatory Framework.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and analyses to inform business decisions.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, variance analysis, and sustainable solutions in a large organization.
Requirements
  • A Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with demonstrated experience in pricing submissions, regulatory frameworks, or economic analysis.
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, with the ability to interpret financial information into recommendations.
  • Extensive experience in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, variance analysis, and sustainable solutions in a large organization.

  • A competitive salary range of $99.7k - $119.6k plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • A permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight.
