The Opportunity

This company is committed to safety and reliability, serving industries such as chemicals, agriculture, and food. They deliver high-quality logistics services and are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join their team.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position that will be based on the company's site in the Inner Western Suburbs of Melbourne. As a Safety Coordinator, you will report to the GM of Health and Safety and be responsible for HSE across the site, working closely with operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments, contractor management, HSE systems, safety inductions, and permits
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics

Requirements

  • Experience in a relevant safety position (transport and logistics experience is an asset)
  • Understanding of HSE systems, safety inductions, and permits
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Formal qualifications in WHS (Cert 4 or higher)
