About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team at McNeil & Co. as a key member of our Business Analysis function. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to work with our Digital Product Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers and business stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into specifications for complex software solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, software engineers, and QA analysts to ensure accurate realization of business goals.
  • Support the delivery of both BAU solutions and implementation of existing ERP projects, analyzing and defining segment-level requirements and ensuring alignment with Corporate-level requirements.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to support the provision of data to and from reinsurance systems and Datawarehouse (SQL and Snowflake), requiring a strong understanding of enterprise data flows and data engineering technologies and practices.
Requirements
  • Extensive Insurance & Reinsurance domain experience, particularly regarding internal reinsurance processes and related data requirements.
  • Insurance process experience, including London Market data and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with financial data; analyzing and reconciling financial system reports and internal data.
  • Foundational understanding of enterprise data warehousing and data engineering concepts and technologies.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis concepts, methods, and practices in an information technology environment.
  • Solid understanding of agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Ability to influence others in order to improve processes and application quality.
  • Ability to work independently.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience implementing, supporting, and enhancing reinsurance systems, including integration with internal and external systems.
  • Workday experience highly desirable.
  • Some experience using JIRA or similar agile tools.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and ability to use SQL tools to query a database to retrieve data.
  • Basic understanding of API technology for system integrations.
