Financial Analyst

NES Fircroft is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join their team in Perth. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting support to the business.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Support the timely reporting of budget, forecast, and actual performance results in the company's database.
- Economic and Commercial Support: Provide economic and commercial support in respect of the upstream and renewable business and commercial activities of the business unit.
- Budgeting and Planning: Support the coordination of the budgeting and planning functions within the business unit.
- Special Fiscal Analysis: Support special and contractual fiscal analysis to the business activities.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Financial Forecasting: Compile financials for the quarterly forecasting, 4-year plan, and long-term plan processes.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare production, operative data, and P&L/BS variance analysis.
- Budget Expenditure Control: Control budget expenditure.
- Tax Calculations: Assist with the preparation of current and deferred tax calculations.
- Sarbanes Oxley Compliance: Assist with the preparation of supporting documentation to comply with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
- Financial Modeling: Maintain updated internal production, capex, opex, and cash flow forecasts for economical modeling and free cash flows projections.
- Authorization and Monitoring: Ensure coordination of the authorization for investment and monitoring processes for development investments.
- Management Presentations: Support the planning and reporting coordinator in preparing management presentations for planning processes (budget, forecast, outlook, business plan).
- Qualifications: Degree qualified in accounting, finance, or economics.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years' experience in financial accounting or economics roles.
- Professional Certifications: Chartered Accountant or CPA qualified.
- Reporting Skills: IFRS knowledge and reporting skills for a large energy organization.
- Business Acumen: Familiarity with corporate planning and reporting cycle of an oil and gas company.
- Knowledge of Petroleum Contracts and Taxation Law: Knowledge of petroleum contracts and taxation law.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently or as part of a team with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Adaptability: Good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn new tasks, and flexibility with duties.
