AV Installation Expert

We are seeking a skilled technician to install and maintain audio-visual equipment, including TVs, projectors, distributed video and audio systems. This role involves working with designers, architects, and builders to provide excellent customer service and ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment
  • Pre-wire or retrofit low-voltage wiring for AV / lighting control systems
  • Read and interpret schematics/design documents to assist in the proper installation and repair of AV and lighting control systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain basic networks and wireless networking equipment
  • Install motorized and manual window shades
  • Install low-voltage lighting systems, including LED strip lighting, keypads, and other low-voltage fixtures
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide proper solutions to achieve project deadlines and client satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively with clients, trades, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in AV, networking, and/or lighting control trades
  • Aptitude for working with technology and structured networks
  • Ability to terminate various cables (RG6, RJ45, fiber)
  • Neatly running wire and cable within racks and framed homes
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, attics, crawl spaces, and equipment closets
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Residential experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Lutron Lighting Control & Savant is preferred
  • Valid US driver's license

This is a mid-senior level position that requires a strong background in AV, networking, and lighting control. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a high level of technical expertise.
