Swimming Teacher

This role involves delivering safe, effective, and professional lessons to students and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of YMCA aquatic programs, educational trends, and industry development.

Responsibilities include maintaining thorough knowledge, delivering high-quality lessons, and working collaboratively with the team to empower children and young people to feel safe and be safe.

  • Teaching swimming and water safety to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintaining a safe aquatic environment and adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement innovative aquatic programs and services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays.
  • Current certification for First Aid, CPR, or willingness to obtain.
  • National Police Check and Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
  • YMCA's Safeguarding Children Training Certificate and annual refresher training.
