We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team in a challenging role that involves working on a 100% Australian solution strategically important to the country's security.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a Fly-in Fly-out basis, with 13 days off between flights. You will be based at the Longreach site and fly in from Brisbane airport every 15 days.

The JORN system has been a part of Australia's defence landscape for many decades and comprises three Over-The-Horizon-Radar (OTHR) systems providing surveillance coverage of the northern border.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting operations, maintenance, and development of the Jindalee Over the Horizon Radar Network (JORN)
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities on radar, electronics, and communications equipment
  • Utilising test equipment to carry out diagnostic and performance testing, including fault reporting requirements
  • Rectifying deficiencies and defects of equipment
  • Collaborating effectively and providing advice to stakeholders for successful support and maintainability of equipment

You will work as part of an inclusive and supportive team, reporting to the Maintenance Site Lead, and will be employed on a permanent basis.
