Infrastructure opportunities abound in the Pacific region, shaping the future of infrastructure development.

We invite applications from specialists who can provide strategic and technical advice on complex infrastructure initiatives, particularly those funded by DFAT. Experience working with governments, donors, and communities to translate infrastructure into lasting development outcomes is essential.

Suitable candidates will have tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, planning, or related fields. They must also possess extensive experience in providing strategic and technical advice on complex infrastructure initiatives, preferably in challenging contexts in PNG and across the Pacific.

The ideal candidate will be able to mentor and share expertise, building capability across teams. Additionally, they should have practical experience embedding resilience, safeguards, and inclusion into infrastructure delivery.

We are interested in specialists who can combine delivery expertise with strategic insight to shape how future infrastructure initiatives are designed, prioritised, and implemented.

To succeed in this role, you must be collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to see infrastructure improve lives and livelihoods across the region.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, planning, or related fields
  • Extensive experience in providing strategic and technical advice on complex infrastructure initiatives
  • Experience working with governments, donors, and communities to translate infrastructure into lasting development outcomes
  • Practical experience embedding resilience, safeguards, and inclusion into infrastructure delivery
