Maritime Structural Leadership Opportunity

Join our search for a highly skilled maritime structural engineer to lead the technical delivery of projects and develop innovative solutions in this dynamic field.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in structural design, particularly in reinforced concrete and steel, as well as expertise in the design of berthing and mooring systems. They will also be familiar with local and international design codes and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical delivery of maritime projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering problems, utilizing expertise in structural analysis software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale maritime projects, leveraging skills in project management, design management, and business development.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain chartership within agreed timeframe).
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
  • Significant experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel in the marine environment.
  • Experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector.
  • Ability to project manage and/or design manage large maritime projects or teams within larger multidisciplinary projects.
  • Actively driving innovation within the team and providing supervision, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
