Chief Education Officer RoleThis is a unique opportunity to contribute to the improvement of mental healthcare by shaping the future of psychiatric education and training in Australia and New Zealand. The role involves leading innovation and excellence in mental health education at a bi-national level.Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative programs, strategies, and policies across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Drive the revision of the Fellowship Program and ensure compliance with accreditation standards set by the Australian and New Zealand Medical Councils.
  • Foster a collaborative, values-based culture that ensures the College's education programs are contemporary, inclusive, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of trainees, Fellows, and the wider profession.
Requirements:
  • A registered medical specialist with extensive experience working within large education or training organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in governance, accreditation, and change management.
  • A strong understanding of postgraduate assessment processes and the regulatory frameworks shaping professional education.
  • The ability to combine strategic vision with operational competence.
  • An entrepreneurial and curious mindset, driven by a passion for delivering best practice in stakeholder engagement.
This role offers flexible employment arrangements (0.6-1.0 FTE) to accommodate candidates who wish to maintain existing clinical practice commitments.
