Job Title: Leaf Cutter

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Leaf Cutter.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an outdoor environment, passionate about horticulture and conservation.

The primary objective of this position will be to cut suitable fodder from our plantations to sustain our growing koala and tree kangaroo populations.

Responsibilities include:

• Leaf cutting, planting, fertilising, watering, slashing and general maintenance of leaf plantations
• Assistance in feeding our Koala population and general animal husbandry duties

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high level of energy and physical fitness to perform physically demanding work
• The ability to work outdoors in a bushland environment and in all weather conditions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivation, reliability and ability to work independently
• A current QLD Manual Drivers Licence and 4-wheel drive operation

Prior experience in farming, nursery, grounds or plantation maintenance is advantageous, as is a first aid certificate. Flexibility with working hours across a 7 day roster is essential, including weekend work and early mornings.
