Assistant Manager

Hyatt Centric Melbourne is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for assisting the Venues Manager and Restaurant Manager in the smooth and efficient operation of Langlands' Restaurant & Bar, Events, and In-Room Dining.
Key Responsibilities:- Run and manage shifts in all outlets as required; buffet breakfast service, lunch and dinner a la carte, and events
- Focus on guests and team member satisfaction and constantly look for ways to improve the guest and team member experience via feedback channels
- Assist with the onboarding, training, and development of team members, and implementation of training programs
- Monitor promotional tracking and reporting in a timely manner
- Ensure guest complaints are handled and communicated in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Previous proven managerial experience in a premium restaurant or 5-star hotel
- A current Victorian RSA Certificate
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, train, and motivate team members
- A true foodie, with sound Victorian product knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement learning and development strategies and programs
- The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
