Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Research Analyst to join our team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial/economic research and analyses on publicly traded real estate securities, general securities, or capital markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with management teams, institutional clients, private-market contacts, and media.
- Participate in quarterly company earnings calls and maintain and defend published REIT investment recommendations.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the financials, portfolios, and managements of covered companies.
- Develop and lead sector research reports, including periodic and ongoing reports, as well as thought-leading new research.
- Train and develop junior team members (Associates and/or Senior Associates).
Requirements
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in finance from a well-recognized school, or a Master's degree in accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field from a well-recognized school, or a similar Bachelor's degree plus the CFA designation.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in conducting financial/economic research and analyses, publicly traded real estate securities, general securities, or capital markets.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including credible interaction internally and externally with company executives, institutional investors, and the media.
- The ability to develop and lead Associates, set and achieve priorities, and multi-task effectively without sacrificing accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of real estate, REITs, financial statements, and Microsoft Excel.
- Authorization to work in Australia now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements.
