Financial Controller

As a key player in our organisation, you will be responsible for supporting financial account activities across various business units. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team and take on this critical role.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a financial control role or external audit, with a strong track record of delivering commercial outcomes. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, able to effectively work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of onshore financial accounting activities, including month-end close activities;
- Working on balance sheet reconciliations and journals in compliance with organisational policy;
- Providing financial/technical accounting assistance and/or involvement in new business opportunities or initiatives;
- Delivering financial controls governance testing as required under the Financial Controls Governance program.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A CA/CPA or similar qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification;
- Experience working in a large-scale corporate business, ideally in retail or FMCG;
- Proven experience of working and coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders;
- Strong interpersonal, influencing skills and communication skills;
- Knowledge of current accounting standards.
