Job Title: Operations Manager – Assets

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the management of our transport fleet, plant, warehousing, and maintenance operations.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of managers, supervisors, technicians, and store personnel in optimising asset utilisation, compliance, and operational performance across plant and warehousing operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of all plant fleet, transport, warehousing, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure optimal asset availability and performance for ongoing civil infrastructure projects
  • Oversee warehousing operations, stock levels, and supply of materials to project teams
  • Build and lead a high-performing team aligned with safety and operational objectives
  • Implement systems and processes to support compliance, asset tracking, and performance reporting
  • Drive innovation and improvement across asset management, maintenance scheduling, and logistics
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years' experience in plant asset or fleet operations within construction, mining, or infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and large-scale asset portfolios
  • Strong understanding of WHS heavy vehicle regulations and equipment maintenance requirements
  • Mechanical trade background or tertiary qualifications in logistics, construction, or asset management highly regarded
  • Clear communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and lead cultural change
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage departmental budgets
