About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AIX Consultant to join our team at Green Light. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and configuring AIX environments, including hardware management console (HMC) and logical partitions (LPAR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and configure AIX environments, including HMC and LPAR.
  • Oversee the virtualization of AIX, focusing on NPIV mode to VIO server migration.
  • Utilize and configure Hypervisor and manage user guest and VIO spaces.
  • Handle IBM NPIV/Switch configurations and ensure smooth operation within the AIX environment.
  • Work with Oracle database and Fusionware within the existing environment.
  • Collaborate with Hitachi for hands-on tool usage and migration tasks.
  • Provide expertise in AIX storage layer configuration and management.
  • Ensure the successful migration and configuration of systems in accordance with project requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with AIX environments, including HMC, LPAR, and Hypervisor.
  • Expertise in AIX storage layer and IBM NPIV/Switch configuration.
  • Strong understanding of user guest and VIO spaces within AIX.
  • Experience with Oracle databases and Fusionware in AIX environments.
  • Demonstrated system administration skills with a focus on AIX.
  • Proven ability to configure and migrate systems effectively.
