We are looking for an experienced health, safety and environmental leader to join our team at Vinidex Northern Region Manufacturing, Distribution and Warehouse facilities.

This is a standalone role which requires you to develop relationships and partner with operations to enable their implementation of key strategic elements.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 AUD.

Job Description

  • Provide health, safety and environmental leadership and support across all levels at Vinidex Northern Region Manufacturing, Distribution and Warehouse facilities.
  • Lead and manage the Safety Management System
  • Oversee site-specific safety plans
  • Conducting periodic system verification audits
  • Incident management
  • Build capability in Health, Safety and Environment
  • Manage workers compensation claims
  • Contribute to strategic safety initiatives

About You

  • You are an experienced health, safety and environmental leader with a minimum 8 years of work experience in Health, Safety & Environment management in a manufacturing industry or similar.
  • You have relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
  • You have knowledge and experience with Queensland Environment Authorities (EA) and Environment Relevant Activities (ERA).
  • You have in-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge on managing workers compensation claims and injury management.
  • You are an adept listener and problem-solver who can resolve conflicts, motivate teams, and lead change initiatives effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
