Shot Peen Specialist

Job Title: Shot Peen Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced shot peening technician to join our production team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality shot peening services to meet customer requirements.

You will use both nozzle and wheel machines to shot peen components to required specifications. Additionally, you will perform quality control checks, including saturation curve analysis, intensity checks using Almen strips, coverage verification, and shot shape/size assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manufacture components according to engineering drawings
• Operate machinery within the department and other departments as needed
• Execute shot peening processes in a controlled and timely manner
• Maintain department standards and create records, including quality certificates and process sheets
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and advise on tooling, jigs, and fixtures

Requirements:

• Education, Qualifications, and Training (E=Essential, D=Desirable)
• A mechanical or engineering background is essential
• Prior shot peening experience is also essential
• Demonstrable knowledge of shot peening equipment, techniques, and operating procedures is essential
• Audit awareness and problem-solving skills are desirable
