**Job Description:**

  • This role forms part of a professional group contributing to the overall design capability of the team.
  • The position is project focused, involving engineering design for mining, minerals processing and utility sectors.

About the Role:

This position will contribute strongly to the overall design capability of the team. It involves engineering design for various projects within the mining, minerals processing and utility sectors.

You will be responsible for taking on various roles within a project from design and planning stages to finalisation and delivery. Your experience should ideally include high voltage engineering design, power line design and consulting capacity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a degree recognised by Engineers Australia. Commercial awareness, interpersonal and communication skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project design experience in minerals processing applications, power generation, power distribution/transmission or the utility sector.
  • High voltage engineering design.
  • Power line design.
  • Experience in a consulting capacity.
  • Experience with power simulation software.
  • A willingness to perform site work and commissioning and travel to remote locations.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Electrical Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Attitude: Positive can-do attitude.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Well-developed interpersonal and written and spoken communication skills.
