Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at Hearing Australia. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-volume data applications to ingest, transform, and store data for reporting, analytics, regulatory compliance, and marketing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines to collect and process large datasets from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain ETL applications and scripts to transform and load data into data warehouses and lakes.
  • Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our data platforms and systems infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Practice disciplined software engineering principles to ensure high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective code.

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience implementing and delivering data solutions using Azure data stack.
  • Expertise in data modeling, E2E solution designing, and component-level understanding.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a solution designer in data domain.
  • Hands-on experience with Pyspark/PySQL, DBMS, and cloud data warehouses.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses solutions and data migration between on-prem to cloud and cloud to cloud.
  • Experience in implementation of CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
