Enrolled Nurse

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Southern Cross Care, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care while supervising and guiding personal care workers. You will work positively and collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive person-centred service and support that is safe and effective for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Promote independence and help residents regain their confidence and engage in meaningful activities
- Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide person-centred service and support
- Ensure medications are administered in a timely and safe manner
- Provide assistance, guidance, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Personal Carers
- Maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice
- Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury
- Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current First Aid Certificate and Current CPR Certificate
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment
- Sound communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand
- The ability to read written instructions and to write clearly and concisely
- Exceptional time management skills to manage own workload to meet deadlines and to support other staff
- High level understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia
