Transport Costing Specialist Role Summary

The position of Transport Costing Specialist is a crucial component of the Supply Chain and Transport department, accountable for transportation expense management and planning.

Key responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end transportation expenses, collaborating closely with regional procurement, global vessel planning team, carriers, and portfolio planning team. Additional duties involve cost to complete reporting, pre-post cost analysis, and coordinating transport input for RFQ packs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and management of transportation expenses during sales phase
  • Liaising with global vessel planning team and carriers to prepare ocean offers
  • Cost to complete reporting and pre-post execution cost analysis
  • Coordination of transport input for RFQ packs for release to subcontractors
  • Evaluation of tender submissions with procurement, transport, and construction teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial planning

Competencies:

  • Analytical skills and good business understanding
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and cost control
  • Knowledge of TMS systems (ITM) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
