The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in Melbourne. This position will be based out of our Melbourne Office and will work on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing electrical design deliverables, including calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
  2. Developing electrical designs using proprietary programs such as ETAP and generating reports on load flow, fault level analysis, and electrical coordination.
  3. Providing technical support to senior engineers to deliver project deliverables, presentations, case studies, and due diligence reports.
  4. Participating in project presentations, team collaborations, and client engagement.
  5. Attending project and site coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  6. Participating in site works as required.
  7. Maintaining good design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction.
  8. Completing project deliverables to meet client briefs and expectations.
  9. Delivering Electrical Design Services projects within quality, budget, and programme expectations.
  10. Developing and maintaining good relations with industry networks, clients, government agencies, sub-consultants, and construction contractors.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with:

  1. A minimum of 3 years relevant design experience.
  2. Experience in Mission Critical Design and Data Centre Design is an added advantage.
  3. Previous experience within an engineering consulting company is desired.
  4. Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, Visio, and Autocad.
  6. Familiarity with electrical proprietary software such as ETAP, Vipcodia, and Power Cad is an added advantage.
